Since being granted the authority to award Chartered Marketer status by The Queen's Privy Council in 1998, The Chartered Institute of Marketing has been recognising professional excellence by awarding Chartered status.

All our members are expected to adhere to our Code of Professional Practice, which requires marketers to be honest, legally compliant and up-to-date. The Code can be viewed in our Royal Charter, Bye-laws and General Regulations 2012 document.
